Back in 2021 Jimmy was doing the rounds, to promote the release of his 2nd book – Before and Laughter. Jason Manford (with Steve Edge) had a show on Absolute Radio (The Jason Manford Show) and the October 17th episode was called Crack On Crack Off With Jimmy Carr.

Although broadcast on the 17th Jimmy’s segment had been recorded on the 15th as he mentions being at Chappelle’s gig the night before (Hammersmith Apollo) which was on the 14th. Read more about that show here.

The links that I had, from back in 2021, are now dead – but I have found a live copy on Ivoox.com.

This show is 72 minutes but Jimmy phones in on the 50-minute mark.

Jimmy has known / worked with Jason for many years and the growing list of their meetings can be viewed here.

I love listening to any podcast / radio show that involves 2 comedians and these 2 seem to have an easy relationship (with an occasional comment from Steve). Recommend giving this one a listen.

Discussion topics include:

  • Jimmy was out drinking with Chappelle the night before, after the Apollo gig

  • New James Bond film
  • Jimmy can’t talk about it – but he’s the new Bond
  • Career ending jokes
  • People taking offence at “their thing”
  • Censorship used to be from the Right, now from the Left
