In 2022 Fin Taylor appeared on Have a Word podcast and talked about some shows that he’d appeared on with Jimmy Carr.

In this clip he says at the start that he was on the “the Brit-ish show” with him, Jamali Maddix, Sarah Millican and Jimmy Carr. This was the Just For Laughs (JFL) show in Montreal, 2019 – see post from Sarah here and more info here.

The next topic he brought up was Roast Battle UK S1 Ep5 (broadcast 2018 January 19^th) which saw Fin Taylor v Paul Chowdhry. Jimmy was head judge and this was the series with Katherine Ryan and Russell Brand.

Brian Moses had a role but Fin says that Jeff Ross was involved in the series (and was giving comics feedback) but was then cut from the edit and sat in the audience.

Jeff then asked Fin to do the Roastmaster Invitational 2019, alongside Jimmy.

Around the 2-minute mark Fin returns to the topic of Roast Battle UK and Adam talks about his own roast battle with Maisie Adam (S4).

At 3 minutes Fin said he had roast battled Paul Chowdhry but that he’d never met him. Fin won and Paul’s manager tried to stop the footage going out, without being edited.

4.5 mins he said he got a writing gig for the Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin (2019) and wrote some material for Nikki Glaser – but doesn’t know if any of his jokes made the TV edit, although she’d used them on stage.

At 7 minutes Adam Rowe says he’s not sure if Roast Battle UK is coming back as Comedy Central UK changed hands and that the show he was on (2020, S4) the Lawyers were more involved in what could / couldn’t be said in the battles.
