What’s it all about?

On hearing about the reboot, The Guardian described it as a “rotten to the core” dating show (quelle surprise) – but, personally, I loved it (and, on paper, it really wouldn’t be my thing).

Jimmy and Katherine bounce between flirting or roasting the contestants – and a lot of them went right back at them.

It’s very much a marmite show – but was a huge success and, if you’ve not seen it before, you’ll have to watch some clips for yourself.

To get to make 66 episodes means they must have had good viewing figures and, if you look at the Comedy Central playlist (below) many of the videos have a couple of million views.

This clip of a post-show interview, below, is kind of an example where the audience “took against” the guy’s attitude and voted him down. And you get an idea of how quips like “the phrase can you just give me a minute…” just roll off Jimmy’s tongue. It wasn’t nasty – just gentle teasing.
