The British Comedy Awards 2006 were held on December 13^th at London Television Studios. Hosted by Jonathan Ross the 90 minutes show was shown on ITV1.

This was the year when they decided to bring a huge python on stage and Jimmy was awarded Best Live Stand-up Tour by Shaun Ryder and someone labelled as guest(?). The tour for most of 2006 was Gag Reflex.

8 Out of 10 Cats had also had a nomination for the People’s Choice Award (but lost out to Ant & Dec) and a movie Jimmy had had a part in (Confetti) was nominated for Best Comedy Film. See more about Confetti here.
