Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled is a British Comedy Chat show, broadcast on U&Dave.

Series 1 launched on June 16^th 2014 and (so far) there have been 62 episodes across 7 series. New episodes haven’t been seen since 2023 and no news yet on whether S8 will happen.

The format is that Alan invites 4 comedians in for a chat and the 5 of them sit at what is essentially a pub table, in the centre of an audience, who are slightly underlit – making it seem more intimate. Everyone has their drink(s) of choice and take turns at telling stories.

The “as yet untitled” part comes from each 1-hour episode not having a title – until the end. Alan makes a note of funny or outrageous things said by one of them and then they make a decision as to what the show should be called.

As “chat shows” go it’s actually a better format than the standard of having 3-4 people on a couch, trying to flog something. This is more like 5 mates (and they often go WAY back with each other) having a drink in a bar and telling war stories.

Jimmy featured on S2 Ep1 (broadcast January 6^th 2015 and in a “Best” episode on May 17th) and Alan’s guests were:

The show always starts showing the guests walking to the building and saying something funny. Being a typical Londoner Jimmy arrived on the back of a Motorbike taxi and was filmed in the street taking off his helmet and protective gear.
