Childish Things4, at Oxford’s New Theatre, was the 4th fundraising event for Helen and Douglas House (a hospice for terminally ill babies and children – read more here). It was held on April 20th 2008 and featured:
- Jimmy Carr (host)
- Bill Bailey
- Jeremy Clarkson
- Idiots of Ants
- Rowan Atkinson
2008 was Jimmy’s second appearance (this year as the host), after he’d asked to be included again after the 2007 show.
Once again, the 1,800-seat venue was sold out and this year’s event raised more than £45,000.
Mitchell and Webb (David Mitchell and Robert Webb) were supposed to perform but, according to Oxford Mail, had to drop out because they have been nominated for a BAFTA award.
