2009 and Jimmy had been at Just For Laughs (Canada) to July 26th, LA on the 28th for a Conan O’Brien appearance and then it was back to the UK for continuation of his Joke Technician tour.
At the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC Venue 150), once again, he performed at his 8th Edinburgh Fringe for 8 nights (20th to 23rd and 27th to 30th). Shows started at 9.30pm and tickets were £15 (£13 concession).
Written and performed by: Jimmy Carr
His Fringe ad blurb said:
A rapier is a long sword of a gentleman. “Rapier Wit” is defined as clever, quick, intelligent humour. Please note Jimmy’s eight solo show, “Rapier Wit”, may* contain actual jokes about rape. (*Definitely)
On August 28th he appeared in Television’s Got Talent with Louis Walsh, Amanda Holden and Ant & Dec.
The 2009 Edinburgh Fringe ran in August from the 7th to 31st and the Programme can be viewed here.
Below are some of the comedians that performed that year (in the order that I spotted their names in the programme). Note that some people possibly paid for ads to be closer to the front of the programme (than their alphabetical listing would permit). Or perhaps it was just to smooth the layout…(except Jack Whitehall is filed under “A”).
Where their show name was mentioned – it’s in brackets. Note that some people had multiple shows running.
