Jimmy Carr had made a first appearance on BBC Radio 4’s (R4) Museum of Curiosity in 2011 (here).

In 2012 he was asked to be the Series 5 Curator of the Museum (co-hosting with John Lloyd).

Having had his tax affairs all over the papers (in June, before the Episode1 record) one of the MOC writers said in an interview that Jimmy had said “’if you think this could cause the show problems then I will pull-out’.

Chortle had a brief story with a quote from a co-producer who said:

Jimmy was a guest on our last series and was absolutely brilliant. He’s going to be an awesome curator

The original screenshots that I have from the BBC website (from many years ago) have Jimmy as Curator on all 6 meetings. The British Comedy Guide have this one as having a temporary curator (Humphrey Ker) and the BBC entry has since been changed to show Ker.
