8 Out of 10 Cats S13 Ep9 was the infamous episode after Jimmy’s tax issues had been all over the paper.

Apart from all the millions that have now seen it on repeats or online – the original broadcast, on C4 on June 22^nd 2012, had its viewing figures boosted.

Digital Spy reported:

“ …boosted the panel show to 2.18m (11.1%) and 360k (2.8%) on +1 – rising 1.2m week-on-week.”

And this video below, compiling the highlights from that show, has had over 1.27m views!!!

In his book, Before and Laughter, here, he talked about how he thought he’d lost it all and was having panic attacks. Which I think you can see on his face, at times, in this show. His Producer told him, before recording, to just “take it” and not clap back.
