I’ve been looking around the web and lots of people asking – “when will it be released in <<insert name of country>>?”
US Cinemas initially got a red band trailer (during the Spinal Tap2 movie) in September. I didn’t know what this was – apparently it just means that it may not be suitable for children due to violence, sexual content or strong language. So, just a kind of trigger warning, specific to cinemas.
It looks like the movie is R rated (some sexual content, language and violence). Is the violence against the airborne deer, in the trailer, or does the Panda get it?
((I’m still smirking over a Panda being in a Downton type film…sometimes I like a bit of silly humour))
At the moment it’s been confirmed that Legion M and Bleecker Street are releasing in the US on December 5th. AMC Theatres have added it to their website – see here.
Film Stories has written a piece today that Elysian Films have not yet confirmed what is happening in the UK.

The Numbers website is set up ready to capture viewing figures (here) and interestingly seems to be suggesting a Russian release.
And the website Box Office Hype has said (here) it is expected to be streamed in 2026
Meanwhile Damian Lewis speaks of “knob gags and a thousand dad jokes”. And when he says he “went to the Palace with my willy hanging out…” I’m assuming he means in the context of this film!
