Between 2006 and 2008 Charlie Brooker (longtime friend and collaborator of Jimmy’s – see here) had a show on BBC4 called Screenwipe.
On December 24th 2008 the BBC website (here) says of the end of year episode:
Charlie Brooker celebrates Christmas by taking a look back at all that has happened in TV land over the past year, including reviews of the very best and worst shows to grace British screens in 2008, and reflections on all the big issues. He considers the trends that emerged and explores what can be expected in 2009.
There are also a couple of special contributor pieces from Harry Enfield and Jimmy Carr, while poet Tim Key supplies a festive verse.
The only problem being I’ve watched the video of the show, below, and none of that last paragraph applies. No Harry, Jimmy or Tim to be seen.
It looks like the error could be something that the BBC website listed incorrectly and it was then picked up by such as the Belfast Telegraph in their TV Guide listing.
A little bizarre – but this post is just to confirm that Jimmy was NOT a contributor to this episode.
