LOL numbers 2026-04-08

On March 30th I looked at Last One Laughing UK S2 (LOL) viewing numbers, here. Amazon Prime don’t disclose their numbers so we are reliant on other sources.

BARB Numbers

Industry whispers, from Broadcast website, had put episodes 1-3 at receiving 12m views, in the first 7 days.

BARB have finally published March 16-22 numbers (here) and those 3 episodes received 12,482,000 views in what was essentially about 3.5 days of viewing.

Episodes 1-3 had released at 6am on March 19th and views, mostly from that evening, made it #8 in the UK charts (Flixpatrol). Timezone differences meant a lag in numbers from elsewhere in the world.

The BARB listing (of the Top 50) is an odd mix of shows from UK linear TV and International SVOD platforms. What they don’t specify is whether the SVOD numbers are calculated for UK only – or are they international?

If it’s all UK only – then this show got a heck of a lot more views than this…

Within this Top 50 the positions achieved were:

  • Ep1 / #8 / 4,363,000
  • Ep2 / #9 / 4,293,000
  • Ep3 / #15 / 3,826,000

It will be a couple of weeks before we find out the total views from the 6 episodes.

FlixPatrol Charts

They display 3 chart types:

  • Top 10 TV Shows
  • Top 10 Overall (TV and Movies combined)
  • Top Ranked TV Shows

LOL UK S2 release dates:

  • Episodes 1-3: March 19th 2026
  • Episodes 4-5: March 26th
  • Episode 6: April 2nd

Top level numbers:

  • April 8th, today, is day 21
  • At its peak it charted in 16 countries on March 27th
  • The 16 are Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE and the UK
  • Overall Top 10 indicates a show that has appeared on a chart that combines the most watched TV Shows AND Movies (on Amazon Prime)
  • At its peak it charted, overall, in 11 countries on March 27th
  • The 11 are Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden and UK
  • Top Ranked TV Shows is a 3rd chart displayed and 3 countries are listed – Ireland, New Zealand and the UK

Timing…

Being available over the Easter weekend was probably good for viewing numbers – but something that probably worked against the UK show’s ranking was other LOLs being released at the same time (although all good for Amazon).

  • Denmark – new LOL Denmark show March 21st
  • Denmark – Hallowe’en Special recharted on March 22nd (104 days since last appearance)
  • Finland – started watching LOL Sweden on March 28th
  • Norway – new LOL Norway show March 21st
  • Norway – Hallowe’en Special Norway recharted on March 22nd (74 days since last appearance)
  • Norway – LOL Sweden charted on March 28th
  • Sweden – new LOL Sweden show March 21st
  • Sweden – Hallowe’en Special Sweden recharted on March 22nd (75 days since last appearance)

With Norway and Sweden, for example, their shows have been #1 pretty consistently (often across all 3 chart types). Plus, the recharting of the Hallowe’en specials would have added to LOL UK losing a potential chart position every day.

Chart Numbers

21 days x 16 countries is a potential for appearing on the charts 336 times. It charted for 255 (although day 1 was UK only, as mentioned above).

  • UK, Ireland and New Zealand all clocked up #1 slots
  • UK held #1 for a total of (so far) 17 days
  • Ireland held #1 for a total of 14 days
  • New Zealand held #1 for a total of 3 days
  • #2 positions were Australia, Finland and the 3 above
  • #3 positions were Australia, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand and Norway

The “overall” chart is kind of more coveted as this is TV Shows competing against Movies.

20 days x 11 countries is a potential for appearing on the charts 231 times. It charted for 161 (nowhere recorded a chart on March 19th, which is why it’s 20).

  • UK, Ireland and New Zealand all clocked up #1 slots
  • UK held #1 for 17 days
  • Ireland held #1 for 11 days
  • New Zealand held #1 for 1 day
  • #2 positions were Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and UK

This final chart is for Top Ranked TV shows. Not sure how they calculate it but would assume it’s a number extrapolated from combined positions, from the 2 above:

  • Ireland held #1 for 14 days
  • New Zealand held #1 for 2 days
  • UK held #1 for 17 days – which means a hat trick of #1s, across all charts
