Couple of weeks ago I had a little rant about AI bot posts (those were on Facebook) that were just 100% made-up nonsense (here). Now I’m off on one about AI stories / blog posts, that generate pages of piffle, with very little substance.

Examples…

This Viral Thoughts post is 1,200+ words that tell you very little, although the word “married” pops up 12 times.

All it really says is they keep their private life private, they’re not married and they have 1 son (out of date, but there you go). Plus, an awful lot of word salad that immediately makes it stand out as something written by an LLM. Humans don’t speak / write like this.

Then we have Magazine Celebs which have written bios about Jimmy’s mother, Nora (here), his older brother Colin (here) and younger brother Patrick (here). Looks like they’ve run out of real celebrities and have moved on to their family members, for content generation.

These articles have an author name on them – but (and I may be wrong here) AI content frequently has made up names, to give the appearance of authenticity. If this is a real human – then they write just like a chatbot!!

The one for Patrick gives the Carr-Tell a credit at the bottom – which was nice to see as, skimming it, I’d recognised my own words, taken from the main Fackham Hall post (here).

On the Colin one (here) there is a nice picture of him and Jimmy that I’d not seen before.

In one way its annoying when your content is lifted – but in other “mission accomplished” as one of my aims is to document facts, to mitigate all the nonsense that now floats around the internet.

But there are factual inaccuracies, across the 3 lots of repetitive waffle. The worst one being that they say that Jimmy’s father (Jim) died of lung cancer in 2017. He didn’t. As recently as a year ago I’ve seen articles where the press have contacted him, re his estrangement from Jimmy, and he’s declined to comment.

We’re descending into a cesspit of nonsense and misinformation.
