The Crowd Work podcast launched late April 2026 (here) and is, basically, audio versions of the Heckle Amnesty crowd work clips. An option for anyone that likes to listen to stand-up at work, driving, exercising etc. and available across podcast platforms (and also YouTube).
As the crowd work clips (under Heckle Amnesty) launched in June 2024 (here) the material is all from the Laughs Funny tour.
So, six or so weeks since release – how is it doing?
I’ve given up looking at Spotify stats as they frequently only show Top 100 (or even only the Top 50 for some countries) and so looking to see if this podcast has charted is a bit needle in a haystack.
Ditto Amazon Audible, which seems to eventually catch up with what people are watching (in that The Big Pitch and Roisin’s LOL podcast are making appearances). Plus, I don’t think it hits a massive listener demographic.
The Apple charts (on Podchaser) seem a good indicator as you can view charts by both genre and country.
Interestingly, although a quick bit of research suggests that Spotify has double the reach of Apple – there are a number of people (with podcasts) on forums, saying that they get more listens on Apple. I don’t want to spend a lot of time pondering that as most articles / stats focus only on the US audience numbers.
Not that the US is not important…but, as an International comedian, Jimmy’s fans are all over the planet and, having browsed all of the charts every day (since June 7th), it’s interesting to see the regional variations. You can’t guess what someone in Estonia might like based on American listening habits.
It’s also tricky to know what time of day / week to view the charts when you have Australia fast asleep when I’m awake and active. Again, not massively important as the numbers will catch up eventually. It just means that you can’t have a new episode released and then look too soon for its overall impact (Crowd Work is on a 3 episodes a week schedule).
Top Podcasts
The “Top Podcasts” chart isn’t one that’s worth monitoring in depth (yet). This is a crowded market and, at this stage, it’s probably more relevant to ask who has NOT got a podcast…
For a baby of only 6-7 weeks Crowd Work has done well to appear a couple of times:
- Croatia – highest #69
- Luxembourg – highest #121
- UK – highest #159
Comedy Podcasts
The Comedy charts play a little fast and loose with the categorisation, IMHO. When you have comedians like Fin Taylor or Josh Widdicombe talking about history or pop culture is that really Comedy? Or are those pods just comedians talking about a topic that interests them? If you were asked to guess, would you have defined Joe Rogan’s show as comedy or chat?
Not massively important, but it does mean that this chart is harder to succeed in than, for example, Comedy: Stand Up (see next section).
To get an idea of the breadth of “Comedy” pods that Brits are listening to – this Apple chart has a nice visual display if you click on the heading Top Shows: Comedy.
Since June 7th 2026 Crowd Work has charted, within Comedy, for 40 countries.
For the UK it’s been in the charts every day since its April release and its highest position, so far, has been #37. Around late May UK comedy listeners started to get into the habit of seeking it out and the average position has been a steady #66.
Ireland has had a highest position of #49 and the average position for June has been #78.
Highlights:
- Sri Lanka highest #5
- Croatia highest #7
- Slovenia / Ukraine highest #9
- Luxembourg highest #16
- Greece highest #17
- Ghana highest #20
Stand-Up Comedy Podcasts
This is perhaps the chart that best represents how well the pod is performing.
Since June 7th 61 countries have had this pod on their charts, under the category of Stand-up Comedy.
Granted, there are only 7 days of data but Croatia, for example, has been #1 for 5 of them and Slovenia #1 for 4.
Similar story with the #2 position, with Australia holding there for 6 days.

- Highest #2 – Australia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Finland, Hong Kong, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, UK. 16 countries.
