Not sure when this one was recorded as this series was a really odd one. With new shows intermingled with never before broadcast (in the UK) episodes from 2022 and 2023.

When you watch 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown have you ever wondered who made the props that are used?

The dolls in this episode were made by Kate Turnbull of Cult Crochet (lots of other samples of her work on there) who sent in some samples in June 2023 and finally heard back, with a commission.

She posted these images of the dolls and then these stills of them in the show. Very talented artist.

In the video below you can see the dolls clip, from the 3 minutes mark. Although you really need to start from the beginning as Susie adds another “glory holes” quip to her repertoire when she says “come bin day”. And makes Jimmy cry again.

For anyone that’s not a native English speaker – saying “come bin day” is a way of expressing that the “day to put your bins out has come around”. It’s another way of saying “on bin day”.

We like to mangle the language like that, just to keep you on your toes.
