Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss has appeared on the Neal Brennan podcast, Blocks.

They are both straight into name dropping Jimmy and, for anyone that doesn’t know, Neal and Jimmy are old friends (here) and Neal’s background was as a co-writer on Dave Chappelle’s TV show (more details on here). Jimmy is in Chappelle’s orbit and has supported him a few times now (here).

When Neal says “the whole podcast is Jimmy’s idea” it’s because Jimmy had originally encouraged him to create a podcast that deals with what you might describe as (mental) Blocks. When you watch an episode and a Block is mentioned there is “ding” as the word/phrase relating to it floats up the screen.

Around the 13-minute mark, Daniel also mentions that Jimmy got him on 8 Out of 10 Cats, when he was only 20 (see here).

Daniel has had two Netflix Specials and yet, despite this long list of achievements, he feels fairly “unknown”, which is strange.

Worth a listen if only for the fact that these two currently have / have had so many issues that you will realise how great your own life is by the end of it!
