Jimmy had performed on the Royal Variety Show in 2002 and 2004 – so the 2008 80th Anniversary charity fundraising event was his 3^rd appearance.

Recorded at the London Palladium on December 7^th (broadcast on the 17th) it was in the presence of the (then) Prince Charles (now King) and Camilla (Duchess of Cornwall).
