Jimmy Carr’s World of Corporate Videos was first broadcast November 22nd 2001 on C4.
Jimmy took the role of Host / Presenter and is also credited a writer (with Paul Garner and Les Keen). Basically, its Jimmy taking a sarcastic look at the world of “made on the cheap, terribly acted and terribly corny” Corporate videos.
Trakt have a copy here but you have to pay for access. What it does offer though is details of all the shows back to 1998 – see here. The site does have an error in that it says it’s Jimmy’s first TV appearance (information copied by Wikipedia and lots of other sites) and I disagree. That honour should go to the 11 O’clock Show.
C4 still has some old Comedy Lab episodes on their website, but not this episode, unfortunately.
The video below is from someone’s old VHS tape recording (God bless people who hang on to their old tapes) and gives us 20 minutes of the episode. At the end Jimmy, intriguingly, says he’ll see us next time for “Jimmy Carr’s World of Open University Modules” (think he says modules) – which is not something that I can find any trace of.
