In 2010 C4 had televised a Comedy Gala and Jimmy “hijacked the ads” (meaning the advert breaks were spoofs, featuring Jimmy).

In 2011 C4 promoted a new Comedy Gala (to be transmitted on June 10^th) as Carr-jacking the Channel 4 Comedy Gala. The show was due to be 90 minutes and this year, Jimmy was joined by Alan Carr.

The Comedy Gala was in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and the main show featured the people listed below (plus video messages and music acts):
