2007’s Red Nose Day / Comic Relief was on March 16^th and, as usual, it was broadcast on a combination of BBC1 and BBC2.

This year it was tagged: The Big One.

Getty Images here of Patrick Kielty, Chris Moyles and Jimmy Carr (apparently singing My Way). It says “in the studio” on 11^th March so this may have been a pre-recorded segment.

Note – the tennis related images, in that link, are from 2008’s Sports Relief. They are in the query because they were from an event / photo session from Dec 2007. The query was left “vague” to pick up the 3 pictures of Jimmy posing in a brown suit / red nose as a Comic Relief 2007 promotion (shot in October 2006, according to the description)

The press promo photocall (filmed in January) features a lot of Russell Brand – alongside Lenny Henry, the Sugababes, 3 of Girls Aloud, Davina McCall, Jo Brand, Graham Norton, Patrick Kielty, Ade Edmondson, Claudia Winkleman etc.

I think this is where Jimmy first met the band. As his appearance was on the 11^th and theirs on the live night of the 16^th I’m assuming he was maybe backstage. See Brandon referring to their meeting in this 2012 interview.

Anyway, so far as I can tell, the evidence points to this being their meeting as, 2 years later, he was supporting them at the Albert Hall.
