Backchat with Jonathan Ross 2014

I must admit that this Jack Whitehall series completely passed me by…possibly because it started on BBC3 and then moved to BBC2 (it ran from 2013-15).

Backchat (with Jack and his father Michael) was a comedy chat show and I followed the trail because of the Jonathan Ross appearance on the June 15th 2014 Father’s Day special episode.

It’s not in the clip below but The Mirror reported that Jonathan had told an anecdote about playing tennis with Jimmy (see several posts, with footage of their banter, playing in charity matches, here).

Wossy claimed he could make his mate “crack under pressure” by shouting “pay your f**king tax”.

We only have Jonathan’s word for this but he claimed his sledging was so successful that he’d won 6-0, 6-1.

In the past Jonathan has told how he’s tried to distract Jimmy by telling him a dog was trapped – so it sounds like their matches are competitive and “by all means necessary”. **

The show must have been recorded earlier in the week as June 15th Jimmy was in New York, playing The Comedy Cellar (Funny Business tour) – here.

**I’d add a smiling emoji or something…but they don’t work on this platform.
