Paul Chowdhry has a new podcast (Don’t Ask Me That!) and the video below features Hal Cruttenden in the episode: Middle-Aged Men Behaving Sadly

There is a brief mention of Jimmy around 11 minutes but my main interest was around a discussion about gigs that both Hal and Paul had performed at The Comedy Bunker in Ruislip.

I’d never heard of it before but The Comedy Bunker is “the UK’s leading comedy brand, with a unique and exclusive focus on Golf Clubs”.

Basically, this is an umbrella brand that sets up comedy gigs at golf clubs, for their members.

The Ruislip venue (Ickenham Road, Ruislip, HA4 7DQ) has hosted some impressive names, that they list on their website as:

Jack Whitehall, Russell Brand, Harry Hill, Jimmy Carr, Sean Lock, Richard Blackwood, Al Murray, Jo Brand, Omid Djalili, and Alan Carr

Plus, Hal and Paul should be on that list. And, for our American friends, the 2 guys mention that, around 2000-1, Patrice O’Neal and Bill Burr also appeared in Ruislip (Bill acting as an opener for Paul).

So far, despite a lot of effort, I’ve not been able to pinpoint the dates of Jimmy’s gigs there.
