December 2021 and DFS (a sofa retailer) got their leadership team together for the first time after the COVID lockdowns.

The specific date has taken a bit of Sherlock type deducing:

• None of the links below mentioned the date and I couldn’t get any search engines to cough up the date nor any images.
• Justin Moorhouse posted a link to this podcast on X on the 10th (the pod is with Jimmy and they are chatting backstage at the awards). I think it was posted after midnight, which would have put the gig on the 9^th
• Jimmy was performing a WIP gig (for Terribly Funny) on the 9^th at the Telford Theatre

All of which means – I think the DFS corporate gig was in the afternoon, including the recording of the podcast. Then Jimmy wandered across Telford for the WIP gig.

Held at the Telford International Centre the DFS event was called In It Together and had 400+ in the venue (still being required to be 1.5m apart) and 2,500 watching online.

The entertainment was:

• Headliner – Jimmy Carr
• Awards Host – Justin Moorhouse
• Electric Circus acts
• Stilt walkers
• LED cabaret performances
• Sophie Ellis-Bextor on the decks in a “secret party room”.

This website said Top Banana partnered with DFS, to deliver the evening, but its estimate of 1,500+ attendees was a slight mismatch to the above numbers quoted on Top Banana’s website.
