Crowd Work pod 2026 08 22

The Crowd Work podcast launched late April 2026 (here) and is, basically, audio versions of the Heckle Amnesty crowd work clips. An option for anyone that likes to listen to stand-up at work, driving, exercising etc. and available across podcast platforms (and also YouTube).

As the crowd work clips (under Heckle Amnesty) launched in June 2024 (here) the material is all from the Laughs Funny tour.

I last had a look at the charts on June 14th (here) and it’s found itself an audience.

At the point when I looked, below (on Saturday August 22nd) a new episode had been released 16 hours before. It’s tricky to decide when to look as I couldn’t fathom out how responsive the charts are (in relation to the publication date/time) and then you have pesky time zones.

Note: Spotify info is really hard to get at as the few charts around are only Top 50, so you DEF have to time those ones right. I’ve ignored it.

Crow Work registered at #161 on Amazon Audible.

YouTube

  • Episodes released – 44
  • Listens on this platform – over 130k
  • Average listens per episode – 3k

Compared to the “proper” heckle Amnesty videos these are not massive numbers – but this is not the intended outlet.

For example – the video from Pula Arena (here) had picked up over 11k views in 23 hours – see in the image below on the centre of the top row.

On the right the Plymouth and Cluj-Napoca videos are audio only Crowd Work episodes.

Notice also, bottom left, how a 2 day old Heckle Amnesty video already has 48k+ views.

Apple / Comedy

As I mentioned on the earlier charts viewing (here) a number of podcasters had said on forums that they got better stats on Apple, than Spotify. The Apple stats certainly seem decent.

The Comedy charts play a little fast and loose with the categorisation, IMHO. When you have comedians like Fin Taylor or Josh Widdicombe talking about history or pop culture is that really Comedy? Or are those pods just comedians talking about a topic that interests them? If you were asked to guess, would you have defined Joe Rogan’s show as comedy or chat?

Not massively important, but it does mean that this chart is harder to succeed in than, for example, Comedy: Stand Up (see next section).

To get an idea of the breadth of “Comedy” pods that Brits are listening to – this Apple chart has a nice visual display if you click on the heading Top Shows: Comedy.

On August 22nd the “16 hours old” episode was on 30 charts with an average position of 108. This is better than it sounds as most of them were either indicated as “heading upwards” or new entries.

The Comedy chart best positions were:

  • Estonia #44
  • Hungary #44
  • Lithuania #51
  • Nigeria #40
  • Singapore #45
  • Slovakia #32
  • South Korea #57

Apple / Stand-Up Comedy

This is probably the chart that best represents how well the pod is performing.

Crowd Work charted, August 22nd, in 64 countries (possibly more – I didn’t look at them all). This is up from the 61 that had registered in June.

  • #1 = Singapore, Slovakia, Spain
  • #2 = Estonia, Finland (down from #1), Hungary, Lithuania
  • #3 – Australia, Croatia, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, UK
  • #4 – India, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, UAE, Uganda
  • #5 – Belgium, France, Kenya, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam
  • #6 – Czech Republic, Germany, Ghana, Ireland, Sweden
  • #7 – Canada, Dominican Republic, Hong Kong, Romania, Ukraine
  • #8 – Japan, Philippines
  • #9 – Austria, Denmark, Russia
  • #10 – Malaysia
  • #11 – Iceland, Israel, Luxembourg, Mexico
  • #13 – Indonesia, US
  • #14 – Brazil
  • #16 – Greece, Macao, Thailand
  • #17 – Latvia, Peru, Qatar
  • #22 – Taiwan
  • #23 – Tanzania, Turkey
  • #29 – Egypt

Meaning all 64 were Top 30 (and heading in the right direction).

PS – Big Pitch with Jimmy Carr

And the Big Pitch (here) is still popping up in the Apple charts, of various countries, and was also at #69 on Amazon Audible.

This is despite the 10 episodes launching at the end of May 2025 – see the YouTube playlist, here, which has picked up over 463k views.
