Intro, Sept 1st 2026

Because incoming statistics show me that many people land upon blog pages through search (or via a chatbot of some flavour) I started a while back to try and tailor post wording to make sense as a stand-alone text. Which means a bit of repetition…but, hey ho.

At least, if you look at the posts for the other social account totals, you will be able to skip this intro section!! It will be identical on all of these pages today.

This mini project is my regular perusal of what started out as around 100 comedians from UK / US and one from India. Over time this number has been whittled down – and the “why” and how the starts are collected are detailed on the Reporting page (here).

It’s been two months since I last analysed the data and those previous links are:

  • X / Twitter – here (updated 29 June 2026)
  • Facebook – here (updated 29 June 2026)
  • Instagram – here (updated 29 June 2026)
  • TikTok – here (updated 29 June 2026)
  • YouTube – here (updated 28 June 2026)

The above 5 platforms combined, subs/followers – here (updated 29 June 2026)

Note that, at some point, this post will become outdated and the most recent stats reports are always linked on the Stats page – here.

This time around we are down to 27 people as the June combined numbers had Stavros Halkias and Andrew Santino at the bottom of the table.

John Mulaney and Peter Kay are looking vulnerable for next time!!

As ever – Golden squares indicate Top 3 Brits and the Blue are Top 3 US / India.

Note also that Joe Rogan is a bit of an anomaly as the accounts are mostly his podcast (Joe Rogan Experience) which skews the numbers massively.

Twitter / X Subscribers

I’ve started with the one that is a bit of a basket case.

Comparing June 29th to August 31st these 27 accounts have collectively lost -86,107 subs. TBF – that’s fairly low as Mar to May this year they lost a combined -256,389.

I’ve not indicated Top 3 Brits as everyone lost followers and how many you lose tends to be dictated by how many subs you had to start with. Making it a pointless exercise.

With that in mind – Jimmy’s account being -1,829 down is actually pretty good as some weeks he made sizeable gains. And then there would be another purge and everyone would drop again. His account is in a similar ballpark to Jack Whitehall’s and Jack dropped -12,543.

The final column compares 2026 to date and this shows that Jimmy has a 6,121 gain over the end of 2025 total. Wahoo. These account purges are like busses and I’m sure another one will be along soon.

The overall loss this year is -173,506.

Not worth looking too deeply into this platforms – but these totals are needed for the continuity of the overall social platforms report.
