Socials views 2025-12-31

Having posted data on the 5 main social platforms (for my group of tracked comedians, links below) I had mentioned in the YouTube one that I felt “views” on a channel were possibly more important than followers. This is because, when you are an established comedian, getting eyeballs on your videos is about showing your comedy skills and acting as an ad for future ticket sales.

It was only mid-December that I found a TikTok counter (here) that shows views. The other one I had been using (here) shows only “subs, likes, following and videos”. Which means I have to search both…

This new reporting perspective only starts from December 18th and shows accumulated views for YouTube and TikTok, for a 13-day period (to December 31st 2025). I now have a baseline for future reports.

As ever – the top 3 Americans are highlighted blue and top 3 Brits in gold.

I had to remove some accounts (see the “who is missing?” section, below) and ended up with only 17 of the original 29.

As usual – the American comedians are in a league of their own – but Jimmy is well clear of the “Brit pack”.

His 1.6 billion is a little over double Russell Howard’s 818 m.

I’d documented in Nov (here) that his 4 YouTube channels had hit 1 billion views (which is now 1.6).  Looking around at other channels (8oo10c, BFQ etc. etc.) I’d estimated that his online views alone (not counting TV) were 4.2 billion.

As of the end of 2025 I’d say that his views will now be well over 5 BILLION

If we then look at how views have grown, across the 13 days, we have Max Amini way ahead (with 58.8 m). But then Jimmy (25.8 m) has double the growth of the next listed (Gabriel Iglesias). And GI has double the growth of Sarah Millican.

Not sure what is going on with Jack Whitehall but, for a good few months now, his numbers have all been sliding downwards. He’s not on tour at the moment – perhaps things will pick up when he announces his next one.

Who is missing?

A number of people are not in this report:

  • Kevin Hart – no YouTube account and his TikTok total (on the counter) has been stuck on 1,276,840,486 for a couple of weeks
  • Aziz Ansari – no accounts
  • John Mulaney – no accounts
  • Chris Rock – no accounts
  • Bert Kreischer – YT drop of -198,689, TikTok counter stuck
  • Pete Holmes – YT drop of -4.37 m – inexplicable
  • Bill Burr – no TikTok – YT numbers within YT analysis
  • Peter Kay – no TikTok – YT numbers within YT analysis
  • Russell Peters – no TikTok – YT numbers within YT analysis
  • Zakir Khan – no TikTok – YT numbers within YT analysis
  • Joe Rogan – no TikTok – YT numbers within YT analysis

With the Pete Holmes account (see counter here) I can only assume a counter malfunction. Over the Xmas / NY period there have been days when Jimmy’s account has dropped by over 3,000 and then, the next day swung back the other way, to a gain of over 5,000. Neither of those figures were within the parameters of the normal pattern of his account and I ended up utilising 2 different counters to try and see what was going on.

As they are free counters (and these are not my account) I can’t really complain.
